A source told Mid-day, “The makers of the reality show, which has people from all over the country display their unique skills, were keen to have him on board.

Dharam Paaji has a unique connect with the common man both the young and the old. He still has his fan following as the He-Man of B-Town.”

It is heard that Dharmendra has agreed to do the show but  hasn’t signed the project as yet.

When Dharmendra was asked, he said, “Everyone tells me I should do it. I am thinking of giving it a shot.”

The star anchor who has also done cookery shows earlier feels that the third outing is way more ‘torturous’ for the 13 female contestants than earlier three edition of the show.

In an interview to a leading tabloid, the stunt man (Khiladi) who has designed the whole affair says he has put extra dose of adrenaline rush performing itself first and then putting the contestant to the test.

When asked about what his wife Twinkle Khanna has to say about his dangerous stunt, the Bollywood Khiladi said, “She’s far from all this. She has given up on me a long time ago!”

The 43-year-old actor when questioned about who he has tortured most in the show, he said, “I have screamed at all of them but at the same time, encouraged them, wiped their tears and hugged them when the task was done. Women are physically and emotionally strong. The show is all about conquering fear. I have studied the physics and chemistry of it. I would tell them that the audience is watching you, so go for it.”

The Pakistani media reported that Television actress was injured in accident while travelling back to Lahore from Islamabad and she is recovering. However, the actress denied the report of injuries and said she is fine.

“I didn’t even get a single scratch. It was a miracle. If you see the car I was travelling in, you’d think everyone in it had perished. The vehicle is completely mangled. But I escaped totally unhurt, and so did the people who were with me. I think there’s a guardian angel who is watching over me.”, the actress told to Times of India.

But yesterday, Farhan looked out of touch; the timing of the humor seemed ill-timed- may be an actor of Aamir’s stature send him to nervous breakdown.

The moments of some smile came only when Aamir walked down to the memory lanes and talked about his group- Time pass Gang, apart from that if something he really brought in the show was his pranks that he made while shooting films- the Madhuri Dixit saga, where he spat on her palms and more or less when he shared other ideas of pranks which he made many times with success.

Even Tanushree Dutta’s performance wasn’t anywhere matching to Neha Dhupia’s steps- performed last Friday, but Benny Dayal’s performance was an out right winner of the show, the blue eyed boy of A.R. Rahman-not blue in anyways, sung and danced with an electrifying energy.

In between all this show reached its end and like first episode Farhan presented Aamir a good-bye gift. For many a 250/- something gift- magnifying glass and scale, is thought to be useless to Aamir, but for an actor who has been disciplined in his long career and worked with precision to charter a route less traveled, can understand the worth of the gift.

Hopefully, next week Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy the esteemed guest bring us out from Aamir’s hangover- vibrant and humorous!!

The idiot box ran wild almost for eight years, but thank God, prayers have been answered at the end- though it took a little longer! For Indian man, it was a comforting moment, since the longest soap ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ came to an end to rescue him from ever growing belligerent of his woman.

I remember few instances, where I was put to wait for a live cricket action over the away from reality- close to admonishing our own household culture, show on television.

The story of ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ never seemed to be penned down over a thought; rather it looked as if one end of the thread knotted to a new piece of string which differentiated it altogether- never looked one piece. On several occasions the story was turned, straightened, moved and rounded to fit the demands of the women audience- needless to mention who were watching.

The big question which comes in mind, is there a scarcity of soap-writers, good story-tellers or creative screenwriters? Going by the early days of television when Doordarshan had the monopoly, there were numerous soaps that touched the chord of human emotions, to name a few, Buniyaad, Hum Log, Neem Ka Ped and Malgudi Days. They certainly not enjoyed a very the advancement of technology- picture quality, but every one agrees they either enriched the culture or drained the ill-customs- in the case of ‘KSBKBT’ it prevailed.

Television viewing get boost up in the late 90’s when communication revolution entered India, it opened a new horizon, hundreds of channels opened and a new tussle started in the air. When there is a competition in the market, it becomes a norm to put the profits-TRP, on the front and social cause at the back seat.

In the case of ‘KSBKBT’ it appears true; to advance in the race ‘Star Plus’ compromised its long stay on the channel and even telecasted the soap- opera, twice in the day- prime time and re-telecast of the same episode in the day. There was no remedy for cure! As its viewer-ship base was women.

The reason for its grand success constitutes two reasons: first, culturally a larger pie of hours of an Indian woman goes under the walled house and secondly, the larger than life characters in the soap- dressed in fancy clothes, make-up, party’s et al, easily created its place in their minds- we know woman loves looking good and ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ fed this appetite of our woman.

Off late, ‘Star Plus’ observed its TRP going down, under constrains and pressure from other quarters, it was refrained to pull the show off…but later it desisted to carry on the show and fight between the channel and the show producer reached court. On Monday, November 3 Bombay High Court dismissed the producer’s plea for an injunction halting the serial’s cancellation.

With this came an end to the one of the top-rated soap on Indian small screen and also it brought a full stop to ‘Husband and Wife’ squabble.
