A leading daily quoted a source, “”AB Jr and JA have been in talks to come out with a series of films in different genres to take their Dostana a step further. While Tarun Mansukhani will bring out the film’s sequel, the two actors are very excited about branding their pair. Some people even felt that the men shared more chemistry on screen together than they did with lead actress Priyanka Chopra.

Source added, “Both actors get along extremely well. AB Jr has mentioned in interviews that wife Aishwarya and John are his favourite co-stars. Last year, at an award event when he was absent, Abhi asked Aish and John to jointly collect the award.”

It seems we are very soon having some male chemistry on screen. John is single but Aishwarya Rai Bachchan would not appreciate her hubby becoming popular as a ‘Gay’ man.

The films will be produced by their individual production houses jointly, “The films will be launched next year. The duo plan to approach big directors to helm their films. Currently, they have been going through various scripts to finalise some projects. They don’t just want to do romcoms. From niche films to cop dramas, everything’s on the agenda.”

John has confirmed the news by saying, “Yes, Abhishek and I have been in talks to bring out a series of films with us starring in it. All films will be of different genres. It’s our way of taking the chemistry we share on screen forward. Abhishek is a wonderful guy and I’m very protective and fond of him. I don’t like it if people criticise him in front of me. I tell them not to do it.”

When India played South Africa in Nagpur – unfortunately India lost – where Deepika Padukone joined the Dum Maaro Dum team to promote the movie, and also to be with her boyfriend Siddharth Malaya. She was also supposed to perform for her sexy remix item song from the movie in the stadium, was not able to give the performance due to lack of rehearsal, as she was busy shooting for Aarakshan in Bhopal.

The event also saw Rohan Sippy, Abhishek Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Prateik Babbar, and Bipasha Basu enjoying the match as well in spirits for their movie promotions among the huge crowd. They witnessed a roar in the crowd as the crew walked along the field in the half way of the match. Whenever the camera caught Abhishek and Bipasha the crowd just didn’t forget to cheer the Dum Maaro Dum cast.

However, Deepika and Siddharth are often seen in matches India plays as the beverage king’s son is an addict of cricket, even if Deepika do not like, she has to company her boyfriend to the stadia. They were also spotted watching India Vs England cricket match at Bangalore. The two were seated side by side to each other, whereas Kingfisher head Vijay Mallya was also present to witness “Sachin Tendulkar” score his 98th century.

Apart from Dum Maaro Dum team South star Siddharth, Rahul Bose and Vivek Oberoi were also present in Nagpur cheering the men in blue. Vivek has come with his wife Priyanka Alva. Vivek who was cheering for India said, “I am here to watch the match and support India. Priyanka and I are super excited to watch India win. Fingers crossed! Please pray that India wins again.” But for Vivek’s dismay India lost the match.

It seems World Cup 2011 has brought some respite for Deepika who lately broke up with Ranbir and with Siddharth hosting her in every match; the match is no less fixed after ‘being just friends’ for long. Kevin Pietersen has already written on his twitter after the match that he had dinner with Siddharth and his g/f Deepika.

If Deepika till says she is just a friend with Siddharth questions are certain to arise. The lady is also brand ambassador for Bangalore Royal Challengers team in IPL, but then it is no IPL matches, then why she is so regularly spotted with Malaya son in World Cup matches? Surprisingly, Deepika can always be seen sitting next to Siddharth enjoying the match with him. When Siddharth was enjoying Sachin’s century, Deepika was actually enjoying seeing him cheering for team India.

World Cup to take a toll on Bollywood:
As ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 reaches its last league, cricket euphoria has gripped the nation. While billion of fans are betting high on India’s chances in the tournament, Bollywood has taken a defensive stance in this cricket-heavy season. With only four B-budget releases since the start of the World Cup in mid-February — Tanu Weds Manu, Yeh Dooriyaan, Phirr and Shagird –producers are anticipating a lull in the multiplexes and playing it safe.

Not a single Bollywood film releases between March 12 and March 31, which sees the last phase of the league matches, quarter-finals and semi-finals of the World Cup being played out between teams. Film trade analyst Komal Nahta said, “The cricket season is a lean period for the film industry. Attendance in the theatres falls by almost 25-30%. Hence, producers avoid the risk of releasing big budget films during this season….

The former Miss India world was a little apprehensive doing intimate scene with Jr. Bachchan. “I won’t lie…I was nervous. But Abhishek being the kind of person who he is…he made it very easy and comfortable for me,” Sarah said.

The 28 year-old-model-turned-actress added, “When I went for the first time for auditions at Excel Entertainment for ‘Game’ I had no idea how big it would be. I believe they (producers) have changed the face of Indian film industry. With Abhinay, a veteran director in Ad films, directing the movie and Abhishek as a co-star I would be a fool to say no. I feel it is a perfect launch pad for me”.

Dev Anand is in news after the release of Navketan’s ‘Hum Dono’ in color but here it has nothing to do or a little to do with the octogenarian actor.

We are here with the First Look poster of ‘Dum Maaro Dum’. The title of the film is picked from one of Dev Anand’s most popular film ‘Hare Rama Hare Krishna’ (1971) hit song of the same title where Zeenat Amaan enacted a hippie’s role.

The film will have the remix of the original soundtrack ‘Dum Maaro Dum’ on which Deepika Padukone will groove the audiences and it is believed that with the item number Deepika will leave Munni and Sheila far behind in the item-song race. We can make it out right!

Producer Ramesh Sippy and director Rohan Sippy’s dreamful project ‘Dum Maaro Dum’ features Abhishek Bachchan and Bipasha Basu as the lead pair with Aditya Pancholi, Prateik Babbar, Rana Daggubati and others in the cast.

For Akshay, it wasn’t less than a nightmare when all his antics, jumping and hanging finally brought him to the ground, injuring his face [value] – Colgate smile – which he brings forth every time when he comes out to promote a new film after a flop. Al though Junior Bachchan and Junior Roshan too have failed to put any show on the box-office but somehow managed to escape the ire of producers and directors.

Now, let’s not talk any more about the actors but the films which have really put them into hiding.

Raavan: Next time when Abhishek Bachchan will be asked, does he know ‘Ramayan’? He will start looking around to save his face in fear of any question about Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan’. The film was produced on a whopping budget of 100 crore but couldn’t able to fetch half of it. The gross revenue of ‘Raavan’ was just 29.50 crore, a debacle that has put Mani Ratnam hiding in the same jungles.

Veer: A lethal warrior in the battle field, but ends at the box-office as a creepy creature that come under the audiences boot. Salman Khan as a hero sometimes do wonders like he did in ‘Dabangg’ but wielding a pen to write script needs brain rather than muscle. Veer flopped after a good opening, reason shoddy script, screenplay and dialogues.

Action Replay: Least said about Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer ‘Action Replay’ will be a fitting honor one can do to the film. Vipul Shah tried to capture the picnic and romance in Mumbai of 70’s but turned out to be a visual leprosy.  He could have saved himself after watching – if he has watched – ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbai’ where Milan Lutharia’s imagination of Mumbai of 70’s was a treat to watch, even when the film was set up to show the other side of city.

Tees Maar Khan: The only saving grace for Farah Khan’s ‘Tees Maar Khan’ was the item song ‘Sheila ki Jawani’ that becomes a rage among the DJs across the country. ‘TMK’ has also broken the myth – for Akshay Kumar – that Katrina Kaif is his lucky charm. And moreover, the debacle has put Shirish Kunder’s ideas of taking all credit on the back burners (he will never try it again).

Khatta Meetha: Let us hope Akshay will not go jittery or his fans after seeing his third film making the list of the biggest flops of the year 2010. Now, he should bid adieu to celluloid and move permanently to ‘Chef Shows’ on small screen, because he is yet to find the right ingredients for a good movie but we know that he knows the spices well to make tasty dishes.

It is really a bad idea to comment and write about flops where a lot of hard work and dedication go waste. So why to waste anymore, but few other films need a special mention here which makes the list of flops or duds of 2010; Anjaana Anjaani, Dulha Mil Gaya, Guzaarish, Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey and Aakrosh to end the wastage (bollywood needs some waste management course now).
