As soon as rumors reached to Darbar’s ears he turned his ways and now says, he is ready to apologize to the Oscars.

The musician had indicted Rahman, saying that the maestro has paid for the awards which he received in 2008 for Best Original Score and Best Original Song in Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire.

Following which Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences are rumored of proceeding to sue Darbar.

Now Darbar says, he has nothing against Academy Awards but he wanted to wake up his friend Rahman for churning out inferior music in the last one year. Darbar should look into himself for the same, what music he has composed so far in his career?

Darbar said in a leading tabloid, “I am grateful that I have been respected in the industry for my work. I did say some things about Rahman, because as a friend I want to jolt him out of his reverie and start giving good music.

I chose a public platform to do it, because he wouldn’t listen to me otherwise. I have nothing against the Oscars.

It is the most respected award, the whole world acknowledges it, and I do, too. If any of them (Academy) are hurt by my comments, I apologise to them.”

It seems Darbar has realized that this is hurting his reputation and he might run out of the work for his indecent comments over fellow musician, who everyone respects.

“I am not scared. The truth is, I realise that those people who respected me for my work, might misunderstand me and think I am baddimag (arrogant person).

Also, the fact is, I can have nothing against the Oscar panel or those behind the awards. My issue was with Rahman and I guess he’s got the message by now,” Darbar added.

Kimberly Roush, Academy’s director of membership, says the electronic system may be implemented “as early as this year.”

The New York Times reports that the Academy’s director of membership, Roush has sent a letter to the nearly 6,000 voting members stating that the electronic system soon be implemented “as early as this year, and will certainly be in effect by next year.”

“At some point, once the system is up and running, mailed ballots will be eliminated,” she wrote.

The study showed that Best Actress winners have 63% chance of ending up divorced and that winners were proven to be 1.68 times more likely to head to the divorce court than those who were nominated but didn’t take home gold. Betting agencies are already giving punters the chance to bet on the likelihood of the newly engaged and pregnant Portman, 29, succumbing to “the curse”.

‘The King’s Speech’ expectedly won the Best Film award in addition to unpredictable Best British film of the year. The film based on the British Monarch’s triumph over his stammering struggle delivered the punch with 7 BAFTA awards out of 14 nominations.

However, the ‘Black Swan’ makers would be a little upset with the only award ‘Best actress’ which went to Portman despite 12 nominations it has received.

Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter, the duo who played the speech therapist of the monarch went home with the best supporting actor and actress trophies.

But, what would have been the most satisfactory award, the best director trophy for ‘The King…’ Tom Hooper went to ‘David Fincher’, who directed ‘The Social Network,’ which also got two other awards including the best adapted screenplay to ‘Aaron Sorkin’.

Allen has not yet revealed any plot details about the upcoming film – but shooting is slated to begin in London this summer (09).

Pinto has credited director Danny Boyle for landing a role in three-time Oscar winner Allen’s new venture.
