A stammering British Monarch delivers a speech of a life time only to get 12 – highest – nominations at the Academy Awards. The King’s Speech, a historical drama directed by Tom Hooper overshadows every other film at the Oscar nominations with the biggest chunk including best film and acting honors to Colin Firth, Helena Bonham Carter and Geoffrey Rush.

The other film that has caught the eyes at the Oscar nominations is the ‘True Grit’ with 10 nominations under its name with Jeff Bridges and Hailee Stainfeld getting acting honors for their act in the film.

Black Swan, The Fighter, Inception, The Kids Are All Right, 127 Hours, The Social Network and Winter’s Bone made to the nomination list of Best Films.
