For long I was idle, hoping to find something on which I can delve and come out with a meaningful and readable write up. And finally, I got something to write about that has left me wandering and thoughtful, if it is like that then what human rights, children welfare organizations and other societies have done who claims to be working and fighting for these children. One thing is sure, we all work for money, the only source of our existence; if snatched no will ever talk about all these issues and if they talk it will be within the four walls of their houses.

Children at War

Allah Ke Banday as a film goes into the dark alleys of Juvenile crime, how it gets birth and who makes it flourish rather than crushing its head they make it to rise at a position from where only death is the end.

The film ‘Allah Ke Banday’ is directed by the first timer Faruk Kabir who has also acted in the film along Sharman Joshi and Naseeruddin Shah.

The story of the film brings forth the ugly face of crime when two kids are sent to the juvenile delinquency for a false charge of murder (which is if not common but rampant) only to see the ugly world of crime, where they find survival is possible only by asserting their power and their life changes forever. Eleven years under Juvenile detention they learn crime under the guidance of an abusive warden (Naseeruddin Shah) who knows the only language – violent and offensive.

When Vijay (Sharman Joshi) and Yakub (Faruk Kabir) come out, they are without the infancy and childhood; it has died within the four walls of the jail and they enter the adulthood of crime. They come back to where they belonged after 11 years but only with the desire to dominate and aspiration to go and rule the muddle of criminal world.

‘Allah Ke Banday’ is an UNESCO approved project and is slotted for 22nd October release. We hope when the meaningful drama unfolds it may awake the people.
