A source told Mid-Day about the accident said, “Chunky had asked for coffee while he was chatting with his friends Arjun Rampal and Abhishek Kapoor. As the airhostess brought the boiling hot cup of coffee, it spilled on his seat mistakenly. The leather cushions of the seat were intact but his butt had to bear the brunt! He was unable to get up from his seat. It was his childhood friend Abhishek aka Gattu who quickly undid his seat belt and helped him out of the seat!”

“Chunky suffered first degree burns and was taken to a hospital on landing. He is all better now,” the source added.

Chunky confirmed the incident, “I think God has a sense of humour that matches mine. I have my ‘bum chum’ Gattu to thank for his timely help. Thanks to him, my injuries aren’t worse. Investigations are now on to see if the coffee attack was an act of revenge by people whose ass I may have taken in the past,” he laughs off.
