Ghayal Returns, sequel of 1990 Ghayal

Ghayal was the film for which I didn’t get a ticket in Mumbai’s Maratha Mandir; I was barely 9 at that time and the guy at the booking said ‘Ghayal’ is not for kid and we returned to our hotel. Now, Sunny Deol starrer ‘Ghayal’ is in the process of a sequel ‘Ghayal Returns’ and I hope it will have Sunny’s trademark ‘Yeh Dhai kilo ka haath jab padta hai to aadmi uthta nahi, uth jaata hai’.

Sunny has unveiled the first teaser of ‘Ghayal Return’ on the video sharing website Youtube. In the teaser it shows a different Ajay Mehra from the original one, here actor plays a cop in the film and we can see Balwant Rai but it seems Aryan Babbar has a villainous role to play. The Ghayal Return is produced under Vijayta Production of Deols. The film is directed by Ashwini Chaudhary and not ‘Rajkumar Santoshi’, who directed the original.

The film is expected to release in 2012. So wait till Sunny oils his ‘Dhai Kilo ka haath’.

Now Dharmendra on Small Screen!

It seems Dharmendra has gone ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’, as the veteran actor is keen to make his debut on the small screen to judge reality show ‘India’s Got Talent’.

Now, if you get to hear ‘Basanti is audience ke Saamne kartab mat dikha’ (don’t show your art in front of this audience), no surprises. This will add some fun in the reality show.

A source told Mid-day, “The makers of the reality show, which has people from all over the country display their unique skills, were keen to have him on board.

Dharam Paaji has a unique connect with the common man both the young and the old. He still has his fan following as the He-Man of B-Town.”

It is heard that Dharmendra has agreed to do the show but hasn’t signed the project as yet.

When Dharmendra was asked, he said, “Everyone tells me I should do it. I am thinking of giving it a shot.”

Tell me Oh Khuda is touted as the comeback film for Esha Deol who was lastly seen in 2007 ‘ Money Hai To Honey Hai’ and ‘One Two Three’. Produced and Directed by none other than Mom Hema Malini. The film also features dad Dharmendra in an important role.

Come Friday, January 14, 2011, Dharmendra promises the movie buffs a rib tickling time in theaters with his home production Yamla, Pagla, Deewana. The film brings together the 3 Deols – Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby, as the punch line says, is film mein action hai, comedy hai, drama hai (the film has action, comedy and romance).

The film Yamla Pagla Deewana celebrates Dharmendra’s 50 years in Bollywood and nothing could have been better than this that he took the ‘title’ from a song ‘Jat Yamla, Pagla Deewana, ho rabba’ from his own film ‘Pratigya’ produced by Dharmendra himself and B.S Dayal in 1975.
