The 64th edition of Cannes Film Festival is underway in best known city of French Riviera. The Hollywood’s A- listers are descending to the event to rub their shoulders in one of the most celebrated film festivals of the planet.

The festival will open with Woody Allen’s ‘Midnight in Paris’ featuring Owen Wilson, Kathy Bates and French First lady Carla Bruni who is rumored to miss the event with her pregnancy (still waiting for an official announcement).

The 11 day mouth watering event, an adorable gathering for all who love movies and the setting is perfect for a romantic date with Hollywood’s big names, already billed as ‘ a love letter’ to the French capital by the organizers.

If Cannes starts with Woody Allen’s romance, the festival will put the curtain on May 22 with a French romantic drama ‘The Beloved’ by Christophe Honore.

The other Hollywood biggy which will be showcased at Cannes is Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz; starrer 3-D adventure “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides”.
