Synopsis: Shaitan is produced by Anurag Kashyap. The story of Shaitan revolves around 5 youngsters on the backdrop of urban cape of Mumbai. Amy, Dash, KC, Zubin and Tanya. Young, intelligent, good looking and ‘uber cool’. With no hang ups and no boundaries, excitement is what they seek till a ‘moment’ changes everything. An accident and their actions to cover up lead them through a series of incidents across the roads, streets and by lanes of Mumbai and into the dark alleys that lurks within all of us – The Shaitan.

Inspector Mathur entrusted with the unenviable task of chasing the youngsters down exposes the underbelly of the Police system and crime while grappling with his inner Shaitan. The confluence of the two sides brings across the ultimate explosion of action drama and thrill on Indian screens that are best described as real and raw.

Kirti is super excited as she told, “When I was told there’s a scene where Kalki and I kiss, I thought it was a joke and laughed it off. But one day, I was told on set that we were shooting that scene next, and I was shocked. The director said ‘action’, and the scene was done in one go. Kalki is very daring, and was extremely chilled out when she kissed me”.

It seems Kalki is too good to taste. You men! Aren’t you jealous?

In ‘Shaitan’ Kalki is playing the role of Amy – a spoilt rich girl. The film is produced by Anurag and co produced by Tipping Point Films. The film sketches the life of teenage angst and rebellious nature of the metros, where a night of drink leaves many nights to get clean water.

The film also stars Rajeev Khandelwal, Neil Bhoopalam (LSD fame), Shiv Pandit and Gulshan Devaiah. The film Shaitan is scheduled to release on June 10, 2011.
