Superstar Rajnikanth who has been undergoing a treatment from Saturday is shifted to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) of the Shri Ramchandra Medical Center in Chennai.

The actor who is suffering from chest congestion, coupled with kidney and liver related problems has underwent drain procedure after he accumulated fluid in his lungs.

A multi-disciplinary team of doctors is closely watching the actor to assess the benefits from multi-pronged treatment strategies, the hospital bulletin said. After the dialysis his kidney functions have been restored.
