The buzz is that SRK’s Ra.One which has fetched an amount of 40 crore, a record for the satellite rights by a channel. The most surprising part of this deal is that the film is still due for a theatrical release. This is the highest amount paid for a Hindi flick’s satellite rights.

Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiot was sold on the price of 36 crore to the same channel.
