Akshay Kumar has taken over the Hashmi’s character and the reports are that Sonakshi Sinha will play the love interest of Akshay in the film. The Dabangg girl will play the character of ‘Mandakini’, the love interest of Dawood in the film.

Earlier, it was said that Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone or Kareena Kapoor would play the character of ‘Mandakini’ but Milan seems to have zeroed on Sonakshi for her successful Dabangg debut.

A source was quoted in Mumbai Mirror as saying, “Ekta Kapoor and Milan Luthria are taking their time to choose the leading lady for ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbai’ 2. They want the girl to be perfect. Initially, they wanted a leading lady to essay the role of Mandakini. But now, they are considering Sonakshi Sinha.”

Sonakshi who is working with Akshay in another film ‘Joker’ seems working in the favor of the actress, “Akshay and Sonakshi are already doing Shirish Kunder’s Joker and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Rowdy Rathod to be directed by Prabhudeva together. Ekta and Milan will obviously keep that in mind while making their choice,” added the source.

So far the casting a part from Akshay isn’t final as yet, the director is looking for a parallel hero for the film, “They are still looking for the parallel hero in the film. Once the second actor is finalised, Ekta and Milan will take a call on who will play the leading lady,” said the source.

Vishwaroopam has Kamal Hasan in the lead, and this will be Sonakshi’s debut film in Tamil.

Let’s see how these two girls make their presence felt in front of an actor ‘Kamal Hasan’ who might not leave space for anyone!

In an interview to IANS, the ‘mast mast nain’ girl revealed, “”Kick is a remake of a south Indian film. The girl has a lot more to do. It’s a damn good role. I’m very kicked about it. Yeah, there’s definitely much more scope for me in Kick than Dabangg. And I am going to make the best of it.”

Sonakshi is having the time of her life, she is right now busy with Akshay Kumar in Shirish Kunder’s ‘Joker’ and after that three more films are lined up for the actress. “There’s Kick with Salman Khan, Rowdy Rathore with Akshay Kumar and Vishwaroopam with Kamal Hassan. Then there’s Dabangg 2 coming up,” said confident Sonakshi.

We hope she gives a ‘Kicking’ performance once again with her mentor and star Salman!!

This adds to the Sonakshi’s value in the advertising market, as she is getting a lot of endorsement offers. Sometimes back she replaced Katrina Kaif in one of the soap brands.

You won’t believe, the host of the KBC Bhojpuri was none other than her father Shatrughan Sinha and Sonakshi after win donated the major part of the amount to Salman’s ‘Being Human’.  “It’s a charity I know, trust and believe in. I’ve seen the money move in the right direction. A lot of us want to help the needy. But how to ensure the money gets to the right place? I know the money is used to help those who need it,” she said.

On the show while Sonakshi carried her Hindi, her father spoke chaste Bhojpuri, “I had never seen him talk in Bhojpuri. He did it very well. I’m looking forward to doing a film with my dad,” she added.

The amount of the charity which went to ‘Being Human’ has not been disclosed.

Well, Sonakshi who is celebrating her Birthday today says that she is not a party animal, so she will spend some quality time with her family. We wish her all luck!

Though, ‘Joker’ isn’t complete as yet, but Akki has asked for sometime before the shoot re-schedule, may be in the meantime he actually understand what to re-shoot and how to do it.

It is said once bitten, always careful and Akshay who has worked with Shirish Kunder in ‘Tees Maar Khan’ is of the belief that he needed some extra care this time.

A source told to TOI, “After seeing a few rushes of the film, Akshay realized that a few scenes could be re-shot for better impact. So he wants to first re-shoot the few scenes and then get going with the rest of the film.”

Sonakshi found her jewelry of worth lakhs missing from her vanity van on the sets of the ‘Joker’ which is believed to have occurred when she stepped out during the late night shoot.

A source from the unit told Mid-Day, “She looked around in the van. But she was sure that she had kept it along with her other stuff. She then asked around but nothing came of it.”

“However, Sona remained calm. She did not want to raise a ruckus and delay the shoot,” added the source.

No one would own up immediately and it would be an exercise in futility. In any case, the unit realised  about the theft much later.”

Director Shirish Kunder says, “My birthday was on May 24 and the cast and crew were ushering it in on the sets. Akshay (Kumar) had planned a celebration.

This is when Sonakshi’s diamond solitaire earrings went missing from her vanity van. The theft occured at Film City. Sonakshi’s diamond solitaire earrings were stolen. A police complaint has been launched.”

However, Poonam maintains, “There are so many people who lose things or have their stuff robbed. Let Sonakshi be, so what if she is a star? I can only laugh about it now. Nothing was stolen.”

We hope the police finds the missing jewelry and ‘Joker’ may not turned out to be a unit of careless jokers.

Film ‘Joker’ stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles and a special appearance from Salman and Katrina is surely going to spice up the things for Shirish Kunder who failed badly in ‘Tees Maar Khan’.

When Shirish was asked about the details of the special song between Salman and Katrina he didn’t reveal any information but said “Let that be a surprise for a while naa. Why to let the cat out of bag so soon?”

We have already seen it Shirish what happened when Kat came out to dance on ‘Sheila ki Jawani’, only Sheila we remember but not the film.

However, the long search for the apt stars for the film has been locked with Saif Ali Khan and Anil Kapoor from the original but the makers of the film have signed John Abraham for the negative role, replacing Akshay Khanna.

While the leading ladies will be totally different from in Race2, Deepika Padukone and Dabangg ‘Rajjo’ Sonakshi Sinha have been confirmed for the film and very soon we will get to hear about the third lady who will play opposite Anil. Till then, keep looking at this space and Race!
