‘The Driver’ had a 22 million of production budget and later mounted to 40 million dollars which shelved the shooting until a fresh flow of money was put into the project.

The film has some shooting in India and Salma Hayek is planning to visit the country in December to complete the shooting of the film. This has made our desi-villain excited, “The film has new budget and it is a great news for all of us who were working hard for this project. The movie goes on floors by this year-end and will be shot in LA. Post the shoot, Salma is expected to tour India. She had always wanted to see the country and explore our cities, nature and cuisine. We are all excited about the development,” Gulshan told a leading daily.

The film not only features the Mexican beauty and Gulshan Grover but also have some big names, who will be playing cameo in the film. Will Smith, Kobe Bryant and Whoopi Goldberg are the names which will be seen in the film. “The film is only getting bigger every day. These three are also now on board but things were kept hush-hush because we were not sure when the filming would start. The three are in for cameos. Hope their dates can be worked out,” added the actor.

The film also features our desi bad-man Gulshan Grover who will play the character of Salma’s husband in the film.

‘The Driver’ will be shot at Gajendra Palace in Rajasthan.

Gulshan was earlier called by the actress and the director Bill Duke, when he broke out the news of the film before any official announcement. Well, they must have given the bad-man a bad time over the issue but now it has been sorted out and Salma will fly down to Bikaner in May for the shoot, ‘Ganna Choos ke’.
