Since then she has been one of the most famous searches on the internet.

For a debut actress, it is always pleasing to hear good things of her acting, but Vedita Pratap Singh, the actress who is making her debut with ‘Bhindi Bazar Inc.’ is in news for all wrong reasons. A sex video of the film leaked on the internet a week ago and since then she has been the talking point over her ‘love making’ scene with co-actor Prashant Narayan.

In an interview the model-turned-actress has told that she had her reservations over such bold scenes earlier, but soon she has this feeling that it requires her to do it on the demand of the character she is playing in the film.

“Initially, I was apprehensive when I was told that I have to do a love-making scene. In fact, to be very honest, I was a little scared. However, I soon realized that it will only add to the character of a seductress and decided to go ahead. And it was shot so aesthetically that what had started off as a really scary proposition turned out to be one of the high points of the film.

And come on yaar, at the end of the day, I am a thorough professional and the presence of senior actors like Prashant Narayanan made things easier. Once you see the film, you will realize that there is absolutely no vulgarity involved in it.” says Vedita.

She adds, “I was a national level swimmer who won a scholarship and have even played cricket at the state level. But even though I was so athletic, I never wanted to become a sportsperson. But this exposure meant that I was very comfortable with my body right since my school days.”

Interestingly, this pretty lass has a royal connection to boast of. “I am related to Dillipur estate next to Pratapgarh district (about 205 kilometers from Lucknow).” she signs off.

“I warned my mother about the scenes and have already told her so that she doesn’t get shocked (on seeing them). But my mother was like, ‘It’s okay, I understand this is your profession. But maintain your dignity and respect.’ I know I have to do that and I’m careful about that,” Mid-Day quoted her saying.

She has maintained that she will never compromise to step up the ladder, the 24-year-old actress said, “I have struggled till now and I will not compromise. My self-respect is important to me. If two years down the line, I feel that I am not getting the kind of roles I want, I can always go to television.”

“It depends on the individual. No one is forced here. If you want to do something, then that’s your decision. No one will push you into something in this industry and I am firm that I don’t want to do anything that my conscience won’t allow,” she added.

Vedita has done the dare bare in the film which has come leaking on the internet and enhanced the curiosity of everyone to see how far they have gone. She plays the character of Shabana, an over ambitious girl. “Initially, I was a bit taken aback because I had not done anything of this sort before. But I got used to the idea after a while. I realized Shabana is a strong character and these scenes are important, so I went ahead with them,” said Vedita.

The Lucknow model-turned-actress says, “The scene itself in the film is so classy and it goes with the flow of the story, but the one posted online is gross and very vulgar.”

But when a leading news paper questioned her, how it got leaked, she said she has no clue for the same, “I just don’t know how the video is out on the net or who leaked it. I asked my producer Karan Arora and director Ankush Bhatt if they had any idea who leaked the video and they too are unaware,” she added.

For an upcoming actress typecast is something they always dither and the sex video leak would somewhat make producer to come to her for such roles where she can be shown in intimate love makings. “I don’t want to be typecast as a heroine whose only claim to fame is exposing and lovemaking scenes. I want to be tagged as a versatile actor,” the actress said.

However, she has very much said that she might not do it in every film, if she gets a bold image out of this. “It’s okay that I have done such bold scenes in my debut film, but that doesn’t mean I want to keep on doing the same kind of roles. And this kind of video and news will only hamper my chances of getting different roles,” she adds.

Let’s hope she does not get typecast and we get our share of some intimate scenes in future. Ask producers not to make a ‘Bhindi’ of it.

In an interview given to leading news paper Times of India, Prashant has said that it was difficult to shoot the intimate scene with Vedita and he was also very candid to tell what makes a woman hot.

“It was very difficult man. She was wearing too many clothes. I just chanced upon the link. There’s a lot of kissing in the video. The video is steamy and we both looking hot,” the actor told when he was asked about the scene in Bhindi Bazar Inc.

On the question of the hotness in woman, he said “I think if a woman can exude love and lust together without making it too external, then that is hot. I find three women who are very hot. They are Deepti Naval, Vedita Pratap Singh and Shilpa Shukla.”

Prashant will soon feature in another steamy film ‘Murder2’ where he will be seen working opposite the ‘serial kisser’ Emran and it will be a surprise package for all who are ogling their eyes over the ‘intimate video’.
